This name derives from that stretch of the Ligurian coast between the promontory of Portofino and the metropolitan city of Genoa; they are part of it:
Camogli, Avegno, Uscio, Recco, Sori, Pieve Ligure and Bogliasco.
It is an area particularly appreciated for its mild climate that in winter does not drop temperatures below 9 ° C and in summer does not make it rise almost never above 25/26 ° C.
With its 13.14 square kilometers, the municipality of Sori appears to be the largest municipal territory of the district, although slightly detaching itself from Avegno with its 13 square kilometers. Pieve Ligure with a municipal territory of 3.40 km² is the smallest municipality of the Paradiso gulf.
For the number of residents, according to the latest ISTAT data of 31-12-2011, the city with the most population is Recco with 10,190 inhabitants, while Uscio is the least populous municipality.
